Health Benefits

Oranges are high in vitamin C. Vitamin C can help strengthen the immune system and can help protect cells from damage. Oranges are also a good source of fiber, which is important for digestive health.

Cooking Methods

Oranges are commonly enjoyed without cooking, but try some of these methods for new ideas!

Juicing: Using the juice from oranges are great additions to marinades, dressings, glazes, and sauces.

Oven-drying: Cut your oranges into thin slices and remove seeds. Arrange on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 200°F for 2-3 hours. Flip halfway through. Edges should look dry when done. Allow the slices to cool completely on the baking sheet then store in a zip lock bag.

Seasonings

To add some sweetness, try cinnamon, honey, or brown sugar.

Storage & Preservation

Oranges can be stored at room temperature or in the refrigerator. For room temperature storage, keep the oranges whole and unpeeled and in a cool, dry place. For refrigerator storage, place the whole, unpeeled orange in the crisper drawer. Oranges last longer in the refrigerator compared to room temperature.
