One in six people struggle with hunger in South Michigan.

Help us eliminate hunger in the 8 Michigan counties we serve.

We provide our communities with more than food. We provide hope.

To give someone a meal satisfies the physical pain of hunger, as well as the emotional need for comfort.

Together, with our volunteers, agencies, partnerships, pantries and donations, South Michigan Food Bank is showing the people in our communities that we care.

Our mission is to feed hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, advocating for hunger-relief programs, and collaborating with others who address basic human needs.

No one should go hungry. Ever.

Together, We Feed Thousands of People

When we work together,
we can accomplish a lot.

Because of generous donations like yours, the South Michigan Food Bank is able to offer 6.5 million meals every year. For each dollar you donate, the Food Bank can secure six meals for someone in need.

Make a difference. Volunteer.

Your hands-on help allows us to sustain the work that we do. Last year thousands of volunteers partnered with the Food Bank to end hunger in South Michigan.

Our volunteers cover shifts at food pantries, sort, pack, and assemble food in our warehouse, work in our office, and contribute at special events.
