We provide our communities with more than food. We provide hope.
To give someone a meal satisfies the physical pain of hunger, as well as the emotional need for comfort.
Together, with our volunteers, agencies, partnerships, pantries and donations, South Michigan Food Bank is showing the people in our communities that we care.
Our mission is to feed hungry people by collecting and distributing food and grocery products, advocating for hunger-relief programs, and collaborating with others who address basic human needs.
Proudly serving Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Hillsdale, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lenawee and St. Joseph Counties.

Make a difference. Volunteer.
Your hands-on help allows us to sustain the work that we do. Last year thousands of volunteers partnered with the Food Bank to end hunger in South Michigan.
Our volunteers cover shifts at food pantries, sort, pack, and assemble food in our warehouse, work in our office, and contribute at special events.
