Rod has spent 25 years working in various roles with the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Program in Detroit and Calhoun County, including roles as a social worker, center manager and executive director. He also helped start the PACE Association of Michigan and was its first Director.
Rod worked several years with the Battle Creek Community Foundation and managed several health care programs, including the Albion Health Care Alliance, 5Cs Cancer Coalition for Calhoun and Kalamazoo counties, Population Health Alliance, and BCycle.
Rod currently serves as the Manager of Calhoun County Senior Services – Senior Millage, where they fund programs in the county that serve the needs of older adult residents in need. In addition, Rod teaches part-time at Western Michigan University, College of Health & Human Services, with a focus in Health Literacy and Core Competencies in Health Care.
